About Alzheimer’s Dementia
Dementia is a general term for a neurodegenerative disease process which causes a decline in mental ability severe enough to interfere with daily life. Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia. There is no cure for Alzheimer’s, but there are pharmaceutical, alternative and behavioral treatments which may help.
Clinical trials are essential for the development of new ways to detect, treat, and prevent Alzheimer’s dementia. Participating in a clinical trial is not only a way to get additional treatment, but may advance scientific knowledge regarding this disease.
